Cameron Hepburn



Cameron is an entrepreneur in the social enterprise sector.

His business experience began as a Chemical Engineer at Shell Australia, working on the Corio Refinery in Victoria, Australia.  He put his law degree to work in the project finance department of Mallesons, a large Australian law firm. In 2000 he joined McKinsey & Company as a strategy consultant in Melbourne and Vienna.  Following his D.Phil (PhD) at Oxford, Cameron co-founded several companies.  Aurora Energy Research provides a membership service to data, forecasts and insights about the global energy transformation that emerge from its global energy and national power sector models. Vivid Economics provides high-quality economic advice to the governments, international institutions, NGOs and the private sector, with particular expertise within environment and resource economics. Climate Bridge develops clean energy projects and provides advice on emissions trading in China.

Cameron is interested in the theory and practice of social enterprise, and has invested in companies such as Purpose and apolitical.  He is serving as a judge of the New Energy Awards in 2013.
