UK Low-Carbon Energy Policy – Filling the Policy ‘Holes’
Cameron spoke on the ‘Supporting Deployment of Renewables’ panel at this joint workshop between UCL ISR and the Grantham’s Research Institute (LSE).
The new Conservative Government has been very active on energy policy since its election in May. A number of policy measures have been scaled back or discontinued, but not yet replaced with a new measures, leading to the perception that there are now some ‘holes’ in the UK energy and climate policy landscape. The purpose of this workshop is to explore the nature and dimensions of these policy ‘holes’, and discuss possible new directions for policy, in line with the insights arising from recent policy analysis, through which the holes could be filled.
